Braving the Storm by Elliott Rose

I’m not supposed to feel this way…

To my family, I’m only useful for one thing: my surname. I’m Briar Lane. My father’s chess piece. A pawn to be traded.

But all it took was a dirty secret stuffed in a jacket pocket to unravel my world and send me running to the one place I knew they would never find me: Crimson Ridge.

I thought I’d be starting over alone. I never expected to find my father’s adopted brother, the ex-pro bull rider who consumes my space, and now, my every thought with it… Stôrmand Lane.

All it took was one misunderstanding to change everything.

I’m not supposed to know what those tattooed hands feel like, to feel butterflies anytime that pair of piercing blue eyes meet mine.

He might be my every fantasy, but he’s a temptation I have to ignore. Long nights spent in this tiny cabin can’t be the excuse to step into forbidden territory.

Or can they?
